First Aberdeen announces changes to further improve connectivity across the city

First Aberdeen has introduced a package of changes to its network designed to further support local connections across the city, including improved access to Beach Esplanade.

The changes, which will come into force from Sunday 20th August, include an improvement to Service 13 that will make it easier for Aberdonians to access the beach by bus, while a number of specialised school journeys have been merged into normal service.

Service 1B will be adjusted to serve Bridge of Don Retail Park in both directions providing easier access to and from the shops in this area. As a result, Bridge of Don Park & Ride will no longer served due to very low demand.

Graeme Macfarlan, Commercial Director for First Bus in Scotland, said:
“We are pleased to introduce these changes which we feel better serve the demand we’re seeing on our services across Aberdeen.

“These changes are made as part of a regular review of our network, which uses data to track demand, and we hope they will further improve the customer experience connecting people throughout the city.”

First Aberdeen has also confirmed minor timetable adjustments on services 1,1A, 2,12, 15, 15B, 17, 17K, 18, 19, 172.
