First Bus offers GlasGLOW free travel

First Bus offers free travel to itison GlasGLOW ticket holders

GlasGLOW opens tomorrow night with a spectacular new show and for the first time since Covid, the route includes a very special trip inside the iconic Kibble Palace where a stunning finale awaits!

The Halloween event of the year has arrived in Glasgow as gates open tomorrow night,27th October at 6pm, for year six of GlasGLOW. 60,000 tickets have already been snapped up with opening weekend completely sold out.

The blockbuster event returns to Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens from the 27th October to 12th November paying tribute to iconic 80s movies including Ghostbusters with special appearances from the Ecto-mobile and a 20ft Marshmallowman.

This year’s route is bursting with amazing immersive light installations and interactive elements, photo opportunities and GlasGLOW’s popular street food village, all set to a stunning soundtrack composed by Glasgow sound designers – Kev Murray and Novasound with Grant Anderson returning as lead lighting designer.

The GlasGLOW Pumpkin Patch, one of the show’s most loved features, returns alongside a spooky zone dedicated to Possesed Pumpkins with amazing fire effects, Don’t Cross the Streams – an electrifying zone where the Botanics’ tree are covered in neon lights which come to life – and Ghost Trap – an interactive element where people can donate £5 to The itison Pumpkin Fund to unleash the ghosts.

GlasGLOW 2023

Oli Norman, founder of itison and GlasGLOW, said:“The clocks go back this Sunday and for Glasgow that means one thing – it’s time for GlasGLOW.

“This year’s event has been inspired by Ghostbusters and other nostalgic 80s movies and we’re really excited to open the gates tomorrow night – it’s a brilliant show and hope folk will enjoy it. Tickets are selling fast with opening week pretty much sold out so get in quick if you want to come along.

“We’re delighted to be bringing The itison Pumpkin Fund back this year with a really cool interactive installation – we will be supporting ten brilliant local charities and hope to smash the £15,000 we raised last year.”

Last remaining tickets can be bought exclusively at www.itison.com/Glasglow.
